Newsflash: Burda Easy Spring/Summer Early Preview Posted

The first look at the Spring/Summer 2015 Burda Easy magazine has been posted on both the German and Russian websites.  So far this is impressing me about as much as the rest of the Burda issues thus far this year - which is to say, not much.  Of course, I'm waiting to see the the full preview with line drawings and all, but, so far I'm not overly excited by this issue.  I guess after the fabulousness that was the Fall/Winter edition from last year I was hoping for a bit more.  Anyway, here's the first look:

Possibly cute cardigan?  I hope we get that pattern.  Skirt is ok, but plain.

Not sure how excited I am by this dress.

I need to see the line drawings for these garments.

Ruffle skirt - too cutesy?  Or interesting enough to be cool?

Not sure if I'm excited by anything here...

Simple summer dress - looks comfy on the model,
yet I feel it would look frumpy on me.

This skirt looks pretty cool.

Hmmm... sack dress?  Or more interesting than that?
I want to see the line drawing.

Cowboy fringe isn't doing it for me.
Possibly redeemable jacket otherwise?
Another one I want to see the line drawing.
And that's it so far.  Not too much I'm excited about, but I will wait for the line drawings before making a full judgement.  Overall I haven't been overly excited by Burda's offerings this year (or any other pattern company for that matter).  I assume it is just because the current trends of oversized everything and simple lines just aren't my personal flavor.  Oh well, I still have a ton of things I want to make from last year, though not much time to make any of it.  I have been getting a little sewing in here and there, but none of it for me so far.  At least the other things I've been making have turned out well.  I might even have a few projects to post soon too!  In any case - what is everyone thinking about Burda Easy?  See anything cool, or is it just a continuation of the not so exciting trend we've been seeing from the pattern companies lately?

  2. Hm...It seems like everything's either plain, frumpy, or both. Nothing is fitted or flattering to say the least.
